Sherry Wolf- Large Scale Photorealistic Paintings

Hollywood Producer Jerry Weintraub hosted a star studded, A-list Gala in honor of artist Sherry Wolf at his Palm Desert residence seen above.  A lifelong collector and close friend of Sherry Wolf, Weintraub was relentless in urging her to paint again after the tragic loss of her daughter.  The resulting works were shown at Imago Galleries, Palm Desert, before quickly selling to eager collectors in the Hamptons.

The painting, Artist in the Studio, by American realist Sherry Wolf, can easily be mistaken for a photograph. Her work first captivated audiences at New York’s famed Allan Stone Gallery, where her paintings were shown alongside Richard Estes and Wayne Thiebaud. NBC Nightly News described her as a “visionary genius.” Seymour Knox, founder of the Albright-Knox Museum, acquired this painting for the museum’s permanent collection after seeing Wolf’s interview on the Today Show.
